Lisa Harnisch for Salem Keizer School Board

Building bridges for the future of the children in our community.

I’ve lived in Salem for over 30 years, and I raised two kids in our local public schools. After working my way through college, I’ve spent my career supporting educational opportunities for our community’s youngest kids. As a professional, mom, wife, and volunteer for many years in our school district, I have seen what our kids need to succeed and how to make sure they get it. I am running for School Board Director in Zone 1 to continue advocating for our children’s academic success and ensuring they have the resources to thrive.

I have been involved in the schools since my kids were in school, including being on the Budget committee, Co-chair for the facilities task force, and Co-chair for the committee directing the successful school bond which provided funding to enhance all of our school buildings. I have the experience necessary to push our schools to have the highest standards for our students so they have what they need to be successful.

Our children deserve a school district that provides academic excellence and where every child thrives and feels they belong.

    Former Superintendent, Christy Perry

  • “I know of no one who knows more, and cares more, about how to have all our children become proficient readers by the 3rd grade.”

Jim Scheppke, State Librarian of Oregon (1991-2011)
